TexasClassrooms.com is the venue in which we present The Native Texan Hall of Fame to Texas Educators. Be they grade school, middle school, high school or college educators, they perform a critical function that we simply cannot do without. It is our intention to honor educators that sacrifice each and every day for our children.
Texas Teachers are real life super heroes. Texas Educators educate, innovate, encourage and support our children. Every day, they touch the lives of our children in a powerfully positive way. Our teachers work extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom.
We can’t forget the incredible superpowers that result when families and teachers work together for student success. When a parent, child or colleague of a Texas Educator nominates that professional into The Native Texan Hall of Fame, the honor they receive from peers, parents and students is unmatched by any other award. Induction into The Hall honors Texas Teachers in a very powerful and public way. If you’re a parent, you’re telling both the teacher and your child that this Texas Teaching Superhero is a very special, very important, absolutely indispensable component in your child’s educational development and a significant support system for your child’s aspirations.
These Superhero Educators become Texas Teachers for many reasons. Some do so to because teaching Texas children is not a job, it’s a noble calling. They are literally forming the minds and creating the life-long learning habits that will provide Texas children with the insight and initiative that will propel them to incredible heights. Some do so because it permits them to become lifelong learners. Texas Teachers stay abreast of innovative techniques, methods and styles of learning permitting them to master new skills and, more importantly to make certain that our children can do the same.
Teaching Texas children truly is a calling.
